Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems (EIFS)
EIFS are integrated systems used on exterior walls to provide a highly-efficient, multi-layer barrier incorporating base materials, insulation, drainage or water resistance and a textured protective finished surface. Also known as wall cladding systems, EIFS are not like traditional finished surfaces, these specialty systems are provided by a number of different manufacturers and are typically designed by an architect to meet certain exterior finish requirements.
